The Skate City Sports Artistic Team enters the final week of preparation before traveling to Jefferson City, Missouri, for the 2026 North Central Regional Championships.
Following a strong showing at this past weekend's Colorado League competition, athletes are focused on refining programs, strengthening performance quality, and building confidence as they prepare to compete against some of the region's top skaters. The event served as an important final opportunity for competitors to test their programs under competition conditions and identify areas for improvement before Regionals.
The Skate City Sports Artistic Team is made up of athletes representing a variety of competitive levels and age divisions. Throughout the season, skaters have dedicated countless hours to practices, private lessons, choreography sessions, conditioning, and skill development in preparation for championship competition.
For many athletes, the Regionals Championship represents a significant milestone in their competitive journey. Some will be experiencing their first regional championship, while others return with previous championship experience and new goals for the season. Regardless of experience level, each athlete shares the same commitment to improvement, sportsmanship, and representing Skate City Sports with pride.
Coaches and athletes will spend the coming days focused on consistency, presentation, and mental preparation before departing for Jefferson City. While the medals earned this past weekend are a reflection of the hard work already invested, the team's attention now turns toward the opportunities and challenges that await on the regional stage.
The North Central Regional Championships will take place June 6-7 at Skate Zone in Jefferson City, Missouri.
