Skate City Sports Athletes Hear Their Names Called in 2026 PIHA Draft

Draft day is one of those mornings that sticks with you. This morning, the Professional Inline Hockey Association (PIHA) held its yearly draft for the 2011 age group, and several Skate City Sports athletes heard their names called early.
First Round:

Mia's pick came with some extra history behind it. She's the first woman drafted in this year's PIHA draft, and we couldn't be prouder to see her name on that list.
Congratulations to all of our athletes! This is what happens when kids put in the work on the rink week after week. We can't wait to see who's on next year's draft board.
Success Starts with the Foundations
Every one of these athletes started somewhere. Long before draft boards and team jerseys, they were kids learning to balance on skates, working on stops and turns, and figuring out how much fun this sport can actually be. Inline hockey has a way of pulling kids in once they get a taste of it. There's the speed, the teamwork, and that moment when everything clicks and you're not thinking about your skates anymore, just the game.
That's exactly what Jr. PIHA is built for. It's our travel-level inline hockey program for younger players, run in partnership with PIHA itself, so kids get real coaching and real competition while playing under the same banner as the pros. We offer it for 9u, 12u, and 15u age groups, and it's a natural next step once a kid has the foundation of skating down and is ready for more.
The path these draft picks walked started with the basics. If your kid is skating around the rink now and loving it, Jr. PIHA could be the next step for them too. The season runs October through February, with practices, regular season games, and playoffs built right in.
