The NorthShore Inline Marathon, held in Duluth, Minnesota, is one of the most important and well-known inline speed skating marathons in North America. Covering 26.2 miles along the shores of Lake Superior, the race brings together skaters of all ages and skill levels, from recreational participants to some of the world's top marathon skaters.
The 2026 edition will be especially significant, as the NorthShore Inline Marathon has joined the World Inline Cup (WIC) as a Premium Class event, making it one of the leading international inline marathon competitions in the United States.
This new status is expected to attract more professional teams and world-class skaters, while also offering points toward the overall World Inline Cup ranking and a $15,000 prize purse.
For participants 18 and older, NorthShore offers different starting waves based on skating level and expected finish time. Wave 1 is designed for some of the fastest skaters outside of Elite, with target times of approximately 1:20 - 1:29, while Wave 2 is intended for skaters targeting a finish under 1:40. Results from the race can also serve as a reference for future selection to the Elite Wave.
This year, Stallions Racing Team will be represented by a group of athletes from different age groups and categories, representing Skate City Sports. The team currently has eight confirmed skaters, with a possible ninth athlete still awaiting confirmation. Among our athletes, one has already earned a spot in the Elite Wave, while others will use this year's race as another step toward future Elite selection.
Get To Know Our 8 Competing Athletes:
Rachel Bryant - Wave 1
Rachel will compete in Wave 1 again after earning an excellent fourth-place finish in her age group at the 2025 NorthShore Inline Marathon.
Andrew Glover - Wave 1
Andrew will also compete in Wave 1. In 2025, he finished ninth in his age group, and this year he returns with the goal of improving his result and continuing to work toward future selection to the Elite Wave.
Brian Heize - Wave 1
Brian returns to NorthShore after finishing sixth in his age group in 2025, looking to put together another strong performance this year.
Ronald Daza - Wave 1
For Ronald, this will be his first NorthShore Inline Marathon. Although he has experience competing in other international marathons, including the New York Skate Marathon, where he finished second in the 42K in 2013, as well as several marathon competitions in South America, this will be his debut in Duluth. He will compete in Wave 1 with the goal of achieving a result that brings him closer to future selection for the Elite Wave.
Clayton Glover - 15 & Under
Clayton will have one of the team's most significant debuts. In 2025, he earned an impressive second-place finish in his age group, along with a time of approximately 1:15, a result that earned him qualification to compete in Elite. This year, he will make his Elite Wave debut.
Owen Bryant - 15 & Under
Owen will return to NorthShore to compete again in the 15 & Under category. After a hard crash unfortunately ended his race last year, he will have the opportunity to return to the course this year and gain another valuable competitive experience.
Olivia Bryant - 12 & Under
Olivia finished second in her age group in 2025 and will return this year to compete in the Tunnel 10K, with a strong opportunity to challenge for the top spot in her category.
Lucy Glover - 12 & Under
Lucy will be part of Stallions Racing Team's group of young athletes and will compete in the Tunnel 10K, racing alongside her teammate Olivia Bryant.
With athletes across different age groups and categories, Stallions Racing Team arrives at NorthShore 2026 with a combination of experience, youth, and new challenges. For some, it will be an opportunity to pursue strong results in their age groups; for others, the goal will be to take the next step toward the Elite Wave. For everyone on the team, it will be an opportunity to represent Stallions Racing Team and Skate City Sports on one of the most important stages in inline speed skating.
